These are the minimum recommended system requirements for MDaemon Messaging Server. This does not account for running multiple programs simultaneously — computers running several programs should exceed these recommendations.

Minimum system requirements
- Microsoft Windows 2022 | 11 | 2019 | 10 | 2016 | 8 | 2012
- CPU: 1 GHz processor or higher (dual-core 2.4 GHz or higher recommended)
- RAM: 2 GB (4 GB recommended)
- Hard disk: 1 GB of free space, plus additional space for stored mail
- TCP/IP network protocol installed
- Internet or intranet communication capabilities
Note: Like all mail servers, MDaemon is heavily I/O bound — performance can be dramatically improved with faster hard drives.

MDaemon Connector for Outlook
Client requirements — available as 32-bit or 64-bit
- Microsoft Windows 10 | 8 | 7
- Microsoft Outlook 2013 | 2016 | 2019
- CPU: 1 GHz processor or higher (2.4 GHz or higher recommended)
- RAM: 1 GB
- TCP/IP network protocol installed
- Disk space: 20 MB for installation, plus additional space for local cache files. Budget approximately 300 MB per enabled profile, though this varies with account size.
- Internet or intranet communication capabilities
- Any modern web browser
Additional note: The latest Service Pack must be installed for all versions of Microsoft Outlook.
Known issues with Outlook 2010/2013/2016:
- "Show as Conversations" does not work
- "You must restart Outlook" prompt is displayed when creating an MDaemon Connector for Outlook profile
